Farmland or Overpass

Metro Vancouver Daily Buzz!!! This issue has been creating some buzz in Langley for a while. I don't exactly understand why the majority of Langley Township counselors would vote in favor of an overpass here when there is so much opposition to it. Am I missing something? I guess I don't understand the issues.

I really don't like Mayor Green's explanation in this video that it will eventually come out of the Agricultural Land Reserve anyway. Really? Still doesn't make it the right thing to do. See CBC News Video: Click Here

Trinity Western University Buzz

METRO VANCOUVER DAILY BUZZ!!!: We currently have a couple of exchange students staying with us from Argentina. Their time here is coordinated by the ESLI program at Trinity Western University (TWU). The campus was buzzing this morning so we thought we’d give them some buzz today. Did you know that TWU is Langley’s largest employer?

I think the stat TWU is most proud of is this: “Canada's most "enriching educational experience" according to Maclean's ranking of the National Survey of Student Engagement. Dianne Watts Fights Homelessness

Metro Vancouver Daily Buzz!!! Mayor of Surrey Diane Watts was on the front of the Province today for her efforts in “FIGHTING HOMELESSNESS”. The article praises her for being a “doer.” She has been instrumental in supporting permanent housing. Since 2009, 307 people have been given permanent housing as opposed to just being placed in temporary shelters. Diane has to be one of the best Mayors in Canada and for that we give her some buzz!!!

"Lore of The Flies" - Chilliwack Makes the Top 10

Metro Vancouver Daily Buzz!!! - Chilliwack has made the top 10 in a contest to find the best fishing town in the country.

As voting proceeded, the city was a longshot for the title of "Ultimate Fishing Town" in the World Fishing Network contest but received one of four wild card spots to make the top 10 announced on Tuesday.
